We entertained the Arrows down the Lane just before Christmas the score ended 0 - 0, we turned up at the arrows ground today and my had they grown!! This was a big team we were now facing their keeper seemed to fill the whole goal !!

The game started and from the off you could see this was going to be a tightly fought game, both sides wanted the ball, Akai was looking sharp in defence and started the defending well, Fraser was looking good he had the ball at his feet and was driving at them whenever he could, the arrows attacked us but we defended as a unit and cleared the danger, we went straight up the other end and won a corner Jack swung in a wicked corner that narrowly avoided all the atacking players.

Jack again had the ball he passed to George, George passed to Fraser who shot just wide, Jack was the next to try his luck his shot again was just wide, Fraser was still driving forward with the ball whenever he could he started to play some brilliant passes, Fraser had a shot that looked like it would bust the net but the keeper saved it George was just about to thump in the lose ball when an Arrows defender come out of no where to make an excellent tackle and stop a sure goal!!

The arrows had there moments and attacked us, Django our ever reliable keeper was out of his goal in a flash to clear the ball.

Jack and George passed the ball well to enable George to strike the ball goalwards only to see the keeper make a great save. End of 1st 10 mins.

2nd 10

Crawford came at us from the start Lewis held firm and made a great block, they still game at us this time there forward looked like he would smash the ball into the net when Lewis made a great tackle to stop what would surely have been a goal, Crayford had 3 corners in a row Lewis finally cleared the ball, we were now under the cosh but all the Lions were battling for the ball, Lewis made another great tackle as the arrows corner count mounted.

The game suddenly became a midfield battle, Jordan Marcello and Henry were tackling and battling like little warriors.

Alfie made a great tackle to stop a break and passed to Jordan who ran and shot only for a defender to block it.

The arrows won a freekick just outside our box it was hit with venom - Django made a fantastic save, the arrows had 3 more attempts at goal all stopped by the young Lionhearts at the back.

3rd 10 mins

Crayford started the stronger and really came at us, we got back into the game and won a corner the ball found it's way to Akai who smashed the ball goal wards, it went over the top unlucky.

Fraser drove with the ball trying to make things happen he was again playing some good passes, Akai was looking strong at the back, Alfie was defending as we expect from him, Fraser floated in a cornerMarcelo got it passed it to George who shot and saw the keeper save well.

Jordan passed to Jack who shot just wide, Jack won the ball saw the keeper of his line and shot from distance which went just wide of the post, we battled for the ball in there box but just couldn't get a shot away.

Akai made another good tackle, Lewis and Akai were talking a telling each other what to do not to bad for boys so young, the arrows attacked us there forward got away and was just about to shot when Lewis made a great goal stopping tackle - Excellent, he then mad another great tackle to break up the play, he again hit hem for the 3rd time and won a throw in. Game Over

0 - 0 the final score probably a fair result - I would like to say a few words about our keeper he again played like he was an older child, he has now kept 3 clean sheets in 4 games, he works hard in training and is eager to learn new things, keep it up Django.
