Long Lane Lions 2 Fleetdown Orange 1

On a sunny Sunday morning at the Lane the Under 7's were ready to play there first "league" game in a couple of weeks. In that time we had been to Yarmouth and won a tournament which the boys were still excited about.

The game started and we didn't really get going as we usually do, the boys were trying but our passing game just wasn't happening.

Out of nowhere Henry hit a thunderous shot towards the goal that just went over, as usual our back 2 were standing strong and not letting them get at us. We finally managed to get some passing going and Henry put the ball in the back of the net... 1 - 0.

2nd 10

Both teams cancelled each other out, some good tackling and a lot of battling and one great save from Django.

3rd 10

This was turning into a good game, we still weren't playing our passing game and this was allowing Fleetdown more time with the ball. They won a corner that was headed goalwards and nestled in the back of the net 1-1.

4th 10

We finally started playing football, ball on the ground and passing. Two great passes from Lewis and Henry and we had a shot at goal, unlucky not to score. Now we were up for it! We peppered their goal with shots but was thawarted by their very good goalkeeper who was having a fantastic game. We had a shot and the ball bounced to the edge of the box and was smashed on the half volley by Jordans left foot and thump; the ball hit the inside of the post and smashed into the back of the net 2-1. What a goal brilliant strike.

Game Over we won 2-1.
