As a Charity, Long Lane JFC has been fortunate enough to be the recipient of several grants over its 30 year history - including some record breaking ones - for the development of the Club and its grounds, from a disused derelict patch of land, to the fantastic facilities that are there today.

The grants and funding however are for specific projects, both to improve the ground and facilities and to help with coach development. The day-to-day running costs are covered by the squads, through their training fees, and the sale of food and drink in the clubhouse.

All the squads pay for their own kits, both match and training, including balls, cones, bibs and other training equipment. Much of the time the team managers, who are all volunteers, put in a lot of time and effort (and in many cases their own money) to find sponsors and raise money for their squads. The parents and family of many of the children at the Club also help, not only purchasing kits and equipment for their team, but also supporting the Club at the various events that are run throughout the year. Without the financial support of all these volunteers the Club would not exist.

Sponsorship has a very important role for every team at Long Lane, helping them to feel proud of their team with their training and match kits and allowing them to travel to tournaments both in England and Europe. By sponsoring the Club, or a team team within the Club, your business will gain exposure to a very large and widespread community. With over 500 playing members and their families and friends visiting on a regular basis, the Club sees over 3000 people visiting in person every week. Squads travel to their away games throughout South East London and Kent, and in some cases even further afield, particularly for Cup games. Over the past year our new website has been steadily growing its visitors and currently sees over 12,000 pageviews per month, and over 2000 unique visitors.
