Raising Club Funds... for FREE!
- Sunday, 01 January 2012
Long Lane JFC is now a supported charity on The Giving Machine, a website dedicated to helping raise funds for charities and schools.
The site can help us to generate much needed funds without costing you a penny! By accessing online shops (such as Amazon, Ebay, Tesco's, Next, iTunes, Play.Com - plus hundreds of others!) through the site, the shop will donate a % of the money spent to the charity of your choice. It doesn't cost you anything to sign up and the only expense to you is making an extra click to the shops website by going via The Giving Machine! Everything else that you do with the shop will be the same as before (including things such as Nectar Points) and it doesn't affect your shopping in any way.
As it's coming up to Christmas, this is an excellent opportunity to help the Club to raise some funds without costing you any time or money. Please, please, please sign up to the Giving Machine and help support the Club!

Thank you for your support!
Long Awaited Return to the Lane
- Thursday, 24 November 2011
After 18 months away from the ground, the squads finally made a return to Long Lane's home ground in Dursley Road last Sunday. Although the day dawned somewhat foggy (well very foggy really - you couldn't see the pitch next to you until late morning!), the day was a great homecoming.

To go along with new pitches, brand new goals were also seen at the grounds giving a great professional look to the grounds, depsite some growth still needed in patches.

Thankyou to everybody who came along to the ground, it was fantastic to see so many people watching the matches.
Jonathan Edwards Opens the New Pitches
- Thursday, 22 September 2011
Long Lane welcomed former Olympic Athlete and triple jump World record holder Jonathan Edwards to the Club to officially open the new pitches.
The Club played host to representatives from the Football Foundation, LOCOG, Greenwich Council and London and Kent FA's, among others, for the grounds opening. Some of our younger players put on a great demonstration with help from coaches Eve and Maria, whilst the officials were given a tour of the Club with members of the LLJFC committee. Everybody present was very impressed with the Clubs facilities, some of whom had been around when the grounds were first taken over by Long Lane.
